From Hamburg Airport (HAM):
Distance to Hotel Polo am Hauptbahnhof is 8.5 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis from the airport to Hamburg city centre cost approximately 20 25 EUR, and journey time is around 30 minutes. Yellow Airport Express buses run every 20 minutes from Terminals 1 and 4 to Hamburg's central station (Hauptbahnhof), 60 metres from Hotel Polo. Single tickets cost 5 EUR and the journey takes 30 minutes. Private shuttle services travel to destinations across Hamburg. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Hamburg's public transport system (HVV) includes underground trains (U Bahn), rapid transit trains (S Bahn), harbour ferries, and buses. Daily tickets entitle the user to unlimited travel on all public transport, including the airport bus (number 110). The centre is easy to explore on foot.
