Opened in 2006, the Kempinski Hotel Grand Hermitage is surrounded by lush gardens and terraces leading to the promenade and beach, 30 kilometres from Varna Airport. It has 727 guestrooms spread over nine floors, decorated in warm colours with light walls, dark wood furniture, and burgundy striped or polka dot fabrics. All have balconies with sea or garden views, and include air conditioning, minibars, satellite television, complimentary high speed Internet and safes. Bathrooms feature separate tubs and walk in showers, double washbasins, bathrobes, telephones, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries.
The hotel's restaurant,Hermitage, serves international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The poolside Sunshine Cafe is open all day for coffees, soft drinks, ice creams and light snacks and Cafe Roma, situated in the lobby, serves speciality coffees, freshly baked pastries and snacks. Wholesome dishes and smoothies are served in the Veggie Bar. Guests can indulge themselves with a therapeutic beauty treatment in the spa, such as a Thracian wine bath, Hawaiian water massage, mud treatment, or enjoy the hotel's Turkish steam bath. There is also a fully equipped fitness room and indoor, outdoor and children's pools, and the gardens lead down to the promenade and sandy beach. In the evenings guests can relax in the wine bar, play pool and billiards or try their luck on the tables at the 24 hour onsite casino. There is a shopping arcade with several boutiques selling gifts and souvenirs, and business centre offering conference facilities and computer rental. The Aladja Monastery is five kilometres away and Varna, with its cathedral and museums, is 17 kilometres from the hotel. Varna Airport is 30 kilometres away. The hotel offers activities including aqua aerobics, yoga and Pilates. Children's activities include jogging, table tennis and playground games. Personal training is available for a fee. The hotel is 100 metres from the beach.

The best way to reach the hotel is by car. Taxis are available from the arrivals terminal; a fare to the hotel will cost approximately 30 Euros. The local area can be explored on foot or by bicycle.
Driving directions: From the airport head towards Varna city and then follow signs to the Golden Sands resort. After the entrance to the resort take the first left and then the first right and you will arrive at the Kempinski Hotel Grand Hermitage.
